afaik its illegal to vent crankcase to air in AU. but ok in NZ.
also for some reason the can gets a lot hotter when its not connected to the intake. possibly theres intake pulses pushing air back up the breather. something to be aware of if you make one out of PVC pipe.

hmm wow thats heaps smaller then the ProVent 200 can i have atm. and u can upgrade to a 15mminlet outlet which is needed for the diesel turbos.

did u upgrade the inlets?

Wow, must be the season for it, :sarcastic:

I've been tinkering with the Calibre one I bought from supercheap, ($51.00, 400cc) over the weekend. Of course I had to take the first one back as one of the grub screws in the lid was made of cheese, and I couldn't get the lid off.

The hoses on the Navs are 16mm (5/8"), and the can came with 9mm (3/8") adaptors. I bought some new 5/8" heater hose to use, and a good tip on another site is to put a short length of 3/8" hose on the adaptor, and the rest of the proper 5/8" hose slips over the top to be hose clamped. It fits like a glove. Just have to find a way to run a tube inside the can to separate the in/out gases and let the S/steel pot scrubbers do their trick. ($2.00 pkt 4)

I'll put up photos as it gets finished next week, but I saw the evidence of oil being sucked into the intake manifold, which is not good from the factory. I also cleaned out the PCV valve with some brake cleaner, should come together nicely.

i just fitted a catch can and placed a divider in the can with s/s scourer filter !! I have pics on my page for you ..

Hey guys i installed a Catch can a few weeks ago using a s/s scourer filter and i had a look at it this avo and there seems to be oil in the intake side of the can but not the engine side is this normal?
All the pipes are new so its not old oil!
Cheers.

Just bought a Chip Tuning oil catch can I didn't go for the cheaper ones as they all seem to come out with small inlet/outlet holes as our D22 run 5/8 hoses I didn't think it would be wise to restrict it. Just need some reducers cause the outlets are 1" only paid $169

where you get that from? do u have to do any mods to it like put that mesh stuff in it?

looks exactly like a Provent 200 - they work really well.

ive been told of a guy sellin the provent type heaps cheaper near $100 im waiting for more details .... I love everything that looks factory fitment

Question fellas, is it bad to have the original pipes go into a separator and then the pipe diameter drops down in size? I bought a catch can off the net and turns out the inlet and outlet of the catch can is heaps smaller than the ones currently on the Nav's things... Forgot the name but yeah, hope you guys can understand that! :p

I just picked it up from Hi-tech 4x4 specialist in Penrith nsw but you can order them from Chip tuning direct. I was fed up with looking around for one and just bit the bullet and bought it.
The only mod I did was bring the OD down to 5/8 and made a bracket to suit it I'll post some pics when I'm done.
