Roofracks

Hi all,

I noticed these roof racks for sale, the seller has stated they are from an 09' D40 Nav, but i'm wondering will they fit a 2006 STR D22??

Or has the mounting method/sizing changed?

The mounting kit for a Rhino Rack system uses different part numbers for the D40 & D22 so not sure if they will fit.

They may need different parts as the rooves are different shapes? May need further investigation mate.

The D40 has a threaded hole inside the top of the door opening that the bracket screws into. I don't think the D22 has that.

Different legs and the D40 bars are longer. You could always ask the resident Rhino Rack Dealer for a discount on a new set if you had one that was a member,,,,,ah that would be me (20% off list).

I have a set of Rola racks I use on my Navara when I need them.

What city are you in rescue?

After ruining the sills on my D22 with a crap set of proracks, i started checking our options. . I thought the rhino bars could hold 90kg and ARB quoted the below:

Rhino Legs - Low Mount (x 2) = 150
Rhino Alloy Bar 1250mm (x 2) = 135
TRACK 1000mm (x 2) = 85
fitting by ARB = 110
total = $480

Pretty sure they hold about 90kg

Factory Nissan racks hold 80kg and the local nissan dealer here quoted $300 including fitment (which ARB do up here anyway). I reckon the factory ones looks heaps better too.

Anyone had any dramas with the factory racks on a D22?
