G'day All,
just wondering if i should go with 265/75/16 or 275/70/16 on the standard rims and suspension on my D40. Got 50,000k's out of the originals so far, don't see them getting past 60,000.
The 265/75s have a wall height of 198mm and the 275/70s have a wall height of 192mm - they're actually a smaller tyre. You'd have more rubber on the road though.
I always thought a longer, skinnier contact patch was better than a shorter, fatter one. It would be marginal though. Are 275/70's a common size? Would you be able to get a spare if you were somewhere remote?
