Hey guys

I’ve looked through the forum and have found some generic info on what I’m trying to achieve but haven’t found anything for my particular model with photos etc

I have a 2014 D22 Navara and have a Fulcrum 2” suspension lift. I’ve fitted new wheels and tyres:

BF Goodrich 265/75/16
Kings 16x8 pos 20 offset

I am getting some minor scrubbing (check the photos where you can see it on the mud guard) at full lock or a bit of flex.

I am looking to modify the body which is behind the black plastic mud guard. I’m happy to get a grinder in there to trim it back and then touch it up with paint to prevent rust.

Has anyone done this before and can you please let me know if I am able to cut it back as per my picture ?

Thanks

Yes, can cut it back did so on my ute just used a heatgun to mold the plastic back

yes, that's exactly where i cut mine.
i also drilled a hole in the lower part of the mudflap and tied a small rope to my sliders because the tyres would catch the bottom of the flap and fold it in half back into the wheel well.
