Trans thud noises

Hi my 2011 pathfinder has a rough down change once up to running temp if I manually down change its ok but if the ECU does it its rough unless you have either a little bit of brake or acceleration applied. It is a sealed for life transmission. Has anyone had this issue. The car has 250000kms on it

"Sealed for life" doesn't mean forever. I heard somewhere Nissan meant around the 120,000km mark (5 years at 20K km per year plus a little extra and then you buy a new car).

They're serviceable, but an auto transmission specialist should take a look if it's doing odd things. They have diagnostic tools that can help them figure out what's going wrong. It may just need a flush & refill with fresh oil.
