G'day guys, got a 2003 ST-R with the ZD30 motor, anyway I regularly travel on the highway and in fifth gear on 100 km/h TRUE it sits like 2,700RPM odd.. is this bad for it? Like is it working the engine too hard? Cheers Fellas

shit mate my single cab zd30 sits on closer to 3000 at 100km/h,but im pushing 32" x 11.5" tyres and a 350 odd kg tray.my total weight is about 2.6 ton.still i think 2700 is fine, someone will correct me if im wrong.

Oh okay, fair enough then. 3,000 is pretty high. I think I am wrong though maybe its more about 2,800 ish, but its definitely around that. Thanks for replying mate

yea it is,but i sit on around 120km/h and thats about 3100-3200 for memorey when i go hunting,so yea.will be intresting to see what others sit on at 100km/h and what kind of weight, tyres they sit at.
i think 2700-2800 is normal so i wouldnt worry.

Mine runs a touch over 2000 with 265 75 16s at 100. I did just chip it and I've noticed a huge difference

My ZD30 is the same, they're designed to do it.

258,000km's and still going strong.

I don't see why constant high revs would be an issue, everything is warm, oil pump is working to keep the pressure up, everything is up to temp... Hopefully hahha

yeah nah mate all good mines done 150 000 pushing 265 75 16 muddies sits on 120 all the way to work no worries got 225000 on it now. nothing to worry about at all.
