Goes to show how much the "specialists" know hey!!
Sometimes they just have their head to far up their Arse or they are just out right scammers!!
Im not saying all of them are or do, BUT this is an excellent example of why people should not just take their word on everything as gospel.

In the end its kind of good news, and if you did have the bacteria in the fuel system and you insurance is paying for the lot to be replaced its all good, the car will be in good shape.

Good stuff.
Its good to know insurers cover the bacteria prob as well.

But, as the OP said, all this stuff was getting replaced under insurance, and the bacteria had been found in the diesel. Could have been 2 problems that seemed like one. Unless the person that found the bacteria was thinking of his bank balance when dishing out the verdict.

Insurance companies will ask for sample and evidence anyways

Best to make sure that happens before they start the job, I'd hate to have to pick up the bill if they dont pay out..

If someone is telling you that there is a bacteria issue and you don't ask for a sample then thee is an issue.

Yes i have seen the sample and so has the insurance and it was full of crap. I only brought the car in Feb this year and i don't think the previous owner ever treated the diesel

I dont think that Diesels really need treatment do they? Is it a preventative measure, or after symptoms start showing their ugly heads?
