Hi, I have a Spanish D40 STX550 and live in the Southern QLD area.

I notice there is no manual door lock even on the driver's side and wondered how I would get into the vehicle if the battery goes dead flat for whatever reason.

With the central locking down there seems to be no practical way to get the vehicle up and running except for knocking out a window?

Although I don't have this problem I would like to be prepared for it.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Have a look under the front passenger's door handle - the small plastic part that stays against the door at the rear of the handle should have a notch in it. Insert key or screwdriver to lever the cover off, revealing a key hole.
