hey guys

had my first off road adventure on the weekend in my brand new D40 ST and it got a little wet inside. When I say a little I mean a lot haha.

Anyway everything has been gutted from the car and pressure washed to remove the brown water and most of it has dried quite well, but the sound insulation foam under the carpet is still holding a lot of water.

Anyone got any good tricks to removing this water. Ive tried to suck it out with a vacuum, and stand on it with a towel underneath.

Thanks guys.

Oh, Yeh hang it up. The water runs through it to the bottom edges. Then you can squeeze it out of the ends.

G'day

Had water in my brand-newy (2013 D40 ST) too, although that was from the now-notorious D40 air con water leak issue.

My front passenger carpet (and don't forget the foam underlay up under the rubber floor piece above the floor pan!) took 2 days on the line in the sun, plus 24 hours in front of an industrial fan.

Good luck!

NB: Place on top of washing line resting across several lines. Foam side up.
