Hi.I have a 2018 Navara, 2.3 twin turbo,Automatic
at 60 klm i have a vibration , if i switch to manual mode it shows 5th gear showing im doing 1200 revs,if i manually go to 4th gear ,the revs increase to 1800 and the vibration disappears,
Any ideas, seems like the revs are to low at this speed for 5th gear

Sounds like it's straining a bit. If you just put your foot down a little harder, what happens? Does it kick down a gear like you'd expect?
Yes it does,i have had it checked out by my mechanic and he agrees it feels like its struggling but apparently you cannot adjust the rev settings in the gearbox, they are factory set,he had an auto transmission specialist take a look and he thinks torque converter shutter, wondering what other owners of this model are experiencing at 1200 rpm

I'd be interested to see how others go too. My car (2009 D40 auto) doesn't let the revs fall below about 1500rpm before it kicks down unless I'm being very, very gentle. I've managed to keep my TCC locked until about 55km/h (so about those RPM) but that was a miracle combination of flat road and tailwind allowing the lightest application of the throttle. Anything even approaching strain in mine and it's unlocking the TCC and kicking down.

The oil in the new gearboxes is supposed to be in there "for life" which could mean either "until the car rusts to pieces" or "until the warranty expires" depending on which lawyer is talking at the time. I wonder if it's gathered a little gunk and is causing a problem in some of the valves or galleys?

I had the car fully serviced including changing the oil in the gearbox when i bought the vehicle in February
we have since tried putting in an additive (Shudder stop) i think it was called, with no effect,I have it booked into Nissan on the 12th for a full diagnostic, hopefully they will sort it out
