G'day All

I have searched as best as I can and not found anything similar to this.

Recently I went for a fish in Lake Lyell, just south of Lithgow (NSW). This, for me, means a bit of climbing.

A couple of times I had the throttle stick open when it had been under load. Changing up was a bit interesting when the clutch was depressed and the rev's spiralled out of control.

All returned to normal immediately after each episode.

Has anyone else had this happen??

Any advise would be appreciated.

These dont have a throtle as such. They are drive by wire so maybe they accelorator box is playing up. Could be a faulty neutral pos switch also.
They seem to to make these things to funny things when faulty.

assuming the pedal is not getting stuck, the TPS will often drop to idle when faulty. not much fun when you pull onto the highway and your stuck at idle !

i would suspect your getting to much oil into the intake. check the catch can is not to full. quite possible that on an angle its allowing oil to be suck out of it.

Thanks for the thoughts.

I am pretty certain that the catch can is OK. It has a non return valve in the drain to the sump.

Must be one of the switching arrangements. The pedal feels normal.

I'll keep chasing it down.
