Late Notice Yalwal this weekend (20/21st)

Anyone keen for a day or 2 exploring Yalwal.

I'm free sat from around midday and hopefully all Sunday

If anyone's keen, how about meeting at the dam/main camping area around midday Saturday for lunch, maybe head off on the tracks about 1pm. That'll give the stragglers time to catch up.

Free to camp, nice spot about 2.5/3hrs from sydney, right on the dam. (swimming if its hot)

Preferable to have at least AT's with all this rain. Although there are plently of chicken tracks for stock vehicles.

Is there good camp grounds at Yalwal?

yeah mate the camp grounds at DANJERA DAM are the go.

Oh and dont forget your fishing gear, there are heaps of BASS in the dam because the fisheries put over 10,000 fingerlings in per yr.

Does anyone know what the camping will be like from 19th Dec?
Two days before school lets out and we are thinking of going down for a pre christmas camp.
I suppose I'd better educate my self about Bass limits if they are so many there.

I would think you would just about have it to your self at that time.
If you have a canoe or a boat with an electric motor and go up stream the Bass fishing is killer.
A little harder right at the camp site but not a total waste of time.
I've caught a few around the Dam wall on sunrise before.
