intake air temperature location

Help Support Nissan Navara Forum:
Just like the YD25, the V9X engine's intake air temperature is measured by the MAFS (Mass Air Flow Sensor) located just outside the air filter box.

As Old Tony said.
Sad thing is its also subjected to the engine bay temps and one finds when the car is at slow speed or stopped the IAT climbs quite high very quickly then takes ages to come back down.
Frustrating thing is on the D40 at least, if you look at the speedo cluster in the right light you can see the outside temp part, but no way to make it work (Thai based D40).
