Aircon stink

Navara 2013 Spain 2.5 manual. 130 k
Lately I have been noticing an odd smell when I use air con. Since I think I have located source, I haven't used it.
Thoughts please

There might be something in the ducting. Behind the glove box there's a narrow horizontal panel with a screw in one end, behind which lie the pollen filter(s). Remove them and check to see if they've got anything stuck on them.

Another thing to try is the air conditioning cleaner spray. Instructions are on the package/can.

I dismanteled mine and found some mice nest in the pollen filter. I put a metallic mosquito net after restoring all the whole thing. I suggest you to take out the motor and the filters, and maybe just with a mirror, or making a video with your phone, or with a 5 euros endoscopic camera from any chinese e-shop, you could find the source. Also under the wipers bay could be some dead thing there, is plenty of room for a damn chicken if you want in that place.
