Went diff crazy latley and have bought to many diffs for the d22 zd30 as im doing a ration swap.
So i have a 1997 d22 H233B (patrol diff) 4.625 ratio diff= 31 spline drum to drum.
Unit has been ground back to bear metal and undercoated, drums have been ground back and a film of rust converter has been applied for good measure (although 95% of the rust has been removed).
The only slight negative ( it can be seen as a positive) is that it is an open diff, however these diffs are a 4 pinion instead of the 2 pinion like the patrols GQ/GU.
which make the LSD pretty much non modifiable besides shims. However the open diff carrier has a 4 pinion powertrax lock-rite locker available from the states for $340- the LSD does not.
not looking at much-$150 for the unit.
also- ring and pinion are spotless.
