Hi, sorry a bit new to this but I have a question, I made a few enquiries about fitting a dual battery system to a D40 diesel. the responses seem to vary between mounting the second battery in the tub to under the bonnet.

Does anyone have a second battery in the engine bay because there doesn't seem to be much room left in there to mount it.

Cheers.

if you pop the hood you will see the D40 just doesnt have the room for anything bigger then a catch can under there, so you are really left with mounting it IN or UNDER the tub, there are mounting brackets ect available for both locations.
try searching through the forum as there are heaps of guys on here that have fitted them in both locations.

Yep, just like that. There's no room for the cat, let alone swinging one around!

You'd have to get rid of the air cleaner to do it. That's possible, but definitely not recommended, as you'd need to move the MAFS and use something like a K&N pod filter.

You can also mount the battery under the cabin, or behind the back seats (people on this forum have done both). By far the most popular choice is in the tub.
