Has anyone had the factory engine oil cooler let go?
If so.....what mileage?

never heard of oil cooler failing on these.
even on 20 year old engines its rare. often its the gasket that eventual goes and you end up with oil in the coolant.

Yeah, just wanting to see if common or not.....one of our work ute has had a fail....cooling system is full of oil.....and there is coolant in the sump.
could be just the gasket.....tho nissan want $5000plus to repair.
Im just curious if its common.....am contemplating disconnecting the coolant flow in the cooler as preventative measure om my own 22.

thats sounds like nissan ffs !
the oil cooler simply bolts on. unbolt the one bolt, take it out and pressure test it and see if its split.

heard of another one letting go....cant be that uncommon....im one person hearing of a couple in a short space of time.....or is it just coincidence???
it would be interesting to cut one apart and see why it went.
