stx 550 sat nav

I have a 2012 550 and whenever I stop anywhere the nav leaves a blue dot on the screen sort of like a way point I think, does anyone know how to get rid of the blue dots?

Have you recently used the navigation?
If you have, (even if you haven't-give it a go) press the DEST button on the left side of screen, then hit cancel route.
Once you have reached your destination it doesnt end the route for some reason

tried that and hasn't worked, every time I park somewhere I end up with a blue dot on the route and cant get rid of them
