hey fellas, how the f@*k do u get the standard side steps off??

there bolted onto the body, from the top. do u have to take the seats and the carpets out??

Take your vehicle 4wd Driving over a few washouts, that should do the trick.

yeah a few things need to come off.

1. Front seat (5 X 14mm bolts)

2. Front footwell cover strip (1x philips head screw and a clip)

3. Front + Rear door to carpent covers (7 philips head screws)

4. Seat belt (1x 14mm bolt)

5. Seat belt cover strip (2 x philips heads and a few clips)

now you can peal the carpet back to uncover...

6. 3 plates that mount the steps to the body ( 9 x 12mm bolts)

(yes I have done it this way and the other way, as mentioned above, many times before)

Hi guys - wish I saw this earlier in the week. Side steps came off mine yesterday - what a frickin crap design! Bolted to the footwell? Cheap frickin option that was. Got 24 holes to plug up while the new sliders are being made (thanks to some kind work by my housemate and his brother - lucky me). New ones are gonna kick arse

Weld some flat brackets and use bolts so I can remove / repair / repaint the bar work. Brackets will look pretty similar to Deadly's:
