Hi all,
The Oil Lo message on the dash is appearing but my oil isn't low. Is this the sensor that needs replacing? Or is it relating to the pressure.

Cheers
Dan

i dont believe the sensor measures pressure, if you parked on a slope for a while they tend to do that

I had this happen ages ago follow this attachment procedure problem solved

^ I tried this, followed the steps precisely (including ensuring that the car was completely level and accurately timing the 6 minutes). It did not work. Oil level was fine, quite within the levels (checked twice).

It probably means I was right to order the new switch. 380K km on the clock, maybe the sensor has died!

My issue has been resolved. Wasn't the sensor.

There's a pressure sensor BELOW the level switch. Mine had a broken wire. Mechanic fixed the wire, then performed the requested engine flush + filter change (which was good to do anyway, even though we're only about 1500km into a service period). We're going away in a couple of weeks and will need everything in top condition.
