So, I've done a fuel pump at 350,000km.
And they are telling me the compression is too low and needs a rebuild.
1: 300
2: 280
3: 270
4: 300
Thing is it was starting and idling fine and pulling like a train before the pump suddenly died mid 4th gear pull cutting through dickhead traffic on my morning commute.
What should I expect around the corner if i get them to strap a new pump on with low numbers like that?
How low do they need to be before it doesn't start or run?
Been quoted $5.5k to do the pump (MTQ) and $15k for a full engine including everything, which i cant afford as i just need this thing to last another year, when hopefully i can buy a new work ute.
