they used to do cng conversions on buses and big rigs.

cabs rarely ever stop, they just swap drivers over. while they are only a small motor theres lots and lots of cabs out there.

I doubt those cabs are very heavy either, the 2.7TD would barely even notice the vehicle. Love to see some economy figures, they ought to be quite impressive!

I went and looked it up - they weigh similarly to our Navaras! 1975Kg is the highest kerb weight for the fully-optioned London Black Cab.

TD27 is a common large forklift motor - maybe Nissan were doing good prices on crate TD27s in the 80s and 90s?

Good point, the TD42 is a bloody old motor that has been used in just about everything.
