Front Hub Clicking Noise

I had the car on the hoist and noticed when I rotated the wheel the there is a clicking noise when the hub is in the free position. When I locked the hub the noise disappeared. Any ideas? as I'm going on a long 4wd trip up the High Country in a few days.

remove the free wheel hub by removing the 6 bolts that hold it in place, then remove the Snap ring and you can pull out the drive clutch. check the bearing there, if its bad you can replace the bearing very easily by pressing the old bearing out and with the code stamped on it go to your local parts shop and get a new bearing. then regrease everything while reinstalling.
