D40 2008 ST-X heater

Hey guys just a quick issue with my nav, coming into winter now in Melbourne I went to use my heater today in my d-40 and it went hot for a few seconds and cooled down again then after a few minutes it heated up and cools down again it did this several times till I got home. I've checked all of the connectors on the rear panel of the temp/fan controller and cannot find anything........
Any ideas??? Cause I'm freezing.....

my 06 rx had the same dramas and turn out to be a water lock just undid a couple of lines and then all was good.
