That's correct. It's generally big enough, but if you chip your engine going to 70mm or 75mm would be beneficial (mildly - you won't get super power from the exhaust change, it'll just "breathe" a little easier).
The biggest kick-in-the-pants upgrades are chips and LPG. You can alcohol 'em, water-intercool 'em, upgrade the turbo yadda yadda but each only gives you a few extra kW at best - chips or LPG give somewhere in the region of 20-40% power increase.
BOTH the chip upgrade and the LPG upgrade will mean more gas leaving the engine, so a larger exhaust is beneficial for those (but not essential - the car won't die without it).
