Hi all,
Had my nav since new & its 2WD, never a problem but now i want to tour & dont want to get rid of the Nav.
How much drama is it to change to 4WD??
Thankyou Tony

Hi Tony,

It would be a massive (and expensive) job to install a front wheel drive line into a 2WD to make it 4WD.

I tour a reasonable amount in a 4x4 D22 & can probably count on one hand how many times I've actually used it in 4x4 in the last 13 years.

I'd keep the car as is if you like it, unless you're looking at stuff like the Canning Stock Route or something.

As above. There's a ton of work to make it 4WD, but the question is do you really NEED it?

I've not used mine anywhere near as often as you'd expect, but if you're going to go on loose stuff - sand particularly - 4WD is handy. You'll find it easier to sell this one and buy a 4WD.

Agreed, 4WD would be handy if you going to drive on sand. I did go to Long Beach on SA and it was a nice drive using the 4WD HI option.
