Has anyone heard of replacing the standard handsfree microphone with a better one? The standard Nissan Bluetooth phone handsfree mic is terrible, and I get complaints from the caller at the other end all the time(usually business customers).
I'm hoping something as simple as cutting the mic wires in the dash and retrofitting a quality mic up near my head on the drivers side upper door trim / roof lining.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure cause I havn't seen the back of the stereo unit in the 2010 but rther than cutting wires, it may be possible to unplug the existing mic and plug in a new better one. They often have a universal jack.

I replaced the rubbish mic in my 2010 D22 with a Nokia unit bought on FleaBay.
When you remove the plastic front off the stereo you can see the mic wires - unfortunately soldered and not a plug in. Still though an easy change over. Just mount the mike as close to your head as possible - the velcro on the new mike sticks to the roof lining really well.
