Tub liner install

Hey just picked up my tub liner, was in the process of installing it and noticed on the instruction it says to spray rust presentive but doesn't specify where and why. The tub is painted anyways. Any help will be great

I installed my tub liner I never worried about it but then again it was on a 2month old d22.

I m not sure if it would do much.... When you get sand and dirt I between the tub and tub liner in wears away the paint like sand paper.... Then your tub rusts out. Seen it on a few different utes now and they were less then 5 years old.

Yep, happened to my tub. I removed the tub liner and sold it. I now have a rubber mat and no more problems.

I took the tubliner out after 4 years and these was almost zero paint damage. I did however use industrial double sided tape when I installed it to keep it in place .Did the same when we put it back in.I did notice there were some dents in the tub anyway and so those had come through the tubliner.
If I was doing it again Id go the rubber sheets too

Just spray the whole thing with lanotec
