Replacing sump gasket

hi guys

need some help

been out 4wd and have noticed when I got home my sump is leaking oil out the back

can u use gasket sealer or do I need to get a genuine seal

is it an easy job can it be done while still in the car without pulling the front end apart

Can do on car no probs. It seals with sealant. Bugger of a job to get off without bending the lip. I had a stripped sump plug (Thanks Nissan) so was replacing anyway but original sealant was a cow to get off.
