Howdy all,

Been a while.. I think the last time i posted, I had a D40. Now I've got a NP300, 2017 model Automatic, and she's been great.
However, recently I've noticed a problem. My car appears to be "stuck" when changing gears.
A few examples:
Reversing:
I get in the car, start as per normal, put her in reverse with foot on brake, take foot off break and nothing happens, give a little nudge to the accelerator, nothing happens. Put foot back on break, feel a little "clunk" and then reverse as normal.
Driving forward:
After I've completed reversing and driving off, I stop at the front gate, put her in park, get out, open gate, get back in car put her in drive with foot on brake, take foot off brake and.... nothing, car slides forward because.. gravity of 2T vehicle on a slope. Put foot back on brake, hear "clunk" and we're off. Stop on other side of gate, repeat process...

Car had its 100K service on Wednesday, told mechanic about it (not using nissan dealership for service), he found the rear brakes had "dropped", fixed brakes, thought problem was solved. Its not. Going to call mechanic tomorrow to advise that issue still ongoing, but thought I'd put it out here to those who know all things - WTH is going on with my car?

If yours were an older car, I'd suspect something wrong with one of the switches on the brake pedal. That would still be worth checking, in case Nissan haven't changed that part of the system.

Failing that, if the electrics are all in good order - it might be worth taking to an auto transmission specialist (not a small backyard job either, pick a large company).
