Found this in the local rag over the weekend and thought I'd share.
Sorry it's in two parts but was a bit wide for my scanner and that the print is a little small.

I think they are more a d22 size they and a lot lighter than they d40. If the second turbo spools up really early in the rev range I think they will be excellent.

Our local VW dealer is also the Kubota dealer (which might say something about one of them) and I needed to kill some time the other day while they did some work for us so I talked them into letting me take the Wooly jumper for a spin around the block. In the short drive I reckon it drives well, the interior feels cheap and while it is under powered with it's 2l donk if you're not skulldragging massive weight behind you all day it would preform like most users want a 4 door ute to preform. Not really sure that the price is justified but then VW's have always been expensive so it's not overly suprising.

VW refuse to supply a factory bull bar for it because they say they are dedicated to pedestrian safety.

I just threw up in my mouth.

Why make a two tonne brick shaped bulldozer then, retards.

They should stick to what they're good at.

Yeah

I miss the grand-papi (combi). Don't see many around in good nick anymore.

The guy who bought the shell of my second Navara rocked up in a schmicko Combi... He was buying the Navara because he wanted something he could use to renovate his house without making the Combi dirty :sarcastic:

My Neighbour has the VW Caddy which i think has the same size motor if not the same actual donk as the Amarok but only single turbo. He blew the Turbo under warranty and VW in Brisbane send them to a specialist to be repaired. The outsourced repairer told him he invoiced VW $12,500 for the repair. Ouch.
Wouldn't want that claim being denied.
