new fella & new truck

G'day guys

i've been trolling a bit in the past few months trying to work out which set of wheels to get next. thanks to the threads on this forum, I've just picked up a brand spankers D40 ST.

Having previously owned old fords (falcons, LTD/fairlanes, and a '79 F100 I'm building) stepping into a brand new diesel Nav was certainly an experience!! I'm mainly going to use it to cart bits and pieces of the truck around and hopefully have a bit of fun when I move up to Katherine next year.

Look forward to learning as much as I can about these things, might even see a few of you around the traps (I'm currently in Newcastle)

You're welcome to come along on our drives. Our next one is a long run up through Merriwa to Willow Tree and back (approaching 400km).

The one after that - 13 Nov - is going to be some off-road fun in Yengo National Park.

I'm probably not going to organise many after Yengo until the new year, because I want to get things ready for our Uluru trip at Christmas.

Attached is the only pic of the truck I could find already on the internet, taken when I was still stripping the thing down...

100% stock, doesn't even have factory accessories. That's simply because I didn't have time to get them fitted before I went back to work!!
