I've got a 2011 D22. Are there any problems with driving around with the front hubs locked but the transfer case only in 2H ?
The reason I ask is to save having to get out and lock the hubs to go into 4wd mode, it would be easier just to select 4H on the transfer case.

Cheers

it is suggested you lock hubs occasionally to lube everything
if i am out all day i dont lock and unlock all the time,i leave them in all day and just change back to 2wd when required
i even lock them b4 i leave home
but i wouldnt leave them permantly locked as they will wear out a lot sooner

I doubt it does any damage, just uses more fuel, the single cab 4x4's come with them locked from the factory.

A mate of mine (ex nissan mech too) leaves his front hubs locked all the time. Has had no problems after 5 or 6 years of doing it. Just changes the front diff oil more frequently.
