It makes more sense when you factor in just how little the Australian market is to a global producer like Nissan.

2500 Navara's (all models) compared to 3500 Hilux's per month in this country and Nissan have been feeling the pinch for a long time but if as someone suggested they are pushing petrol engines into the Middle East etc you can guarantee that the 2500 Nav's they sell here will be sacrificed for a market where cars are a throw away item.
