Hi guys My brother has a Nissan Navara D22 with a 2.4l petrol motor. It was built in 07/00.
He lives on a farm about 80k's from the nearest auto electrician.

The problem is we can start it and it runs great for about 5 minutes and then it starts spluttering and cuts out.
We have checked the fuel line after it cut out and the pump is working as there is a stream of petrol coming out when we turn it over.

We have also used other fuses in the main console in the engine bay.

Could it be a stuffed distributor as a guy said they can get a moisture build up in them, through a hose that comes out of them.

Or could it be the computer that stuffs up when it gets hot. Also where is the computer in them

Has anyone got a second hand distributor for sale.
Thanks Mick

Sounds like something that used to happen with an old G60 Patrol I had, There should be a small in line fuel filter where the fuel line meets the carby, check that its not clogged up.
If not, check and clean or replace the air filter maybe.

2000 should be a KA24DE from memory.

Change the fuel filter, check the AFM is connected, Check the coolent temp sensor.

Rotor button could be stuffed, leads, plugs etc.
