Borrowed from another website. Sounds like it'll be out late this year.

Well here it is after all, the Navara V6 isn't the only V6 pickuptruck anymore though it will still be the most powerfull.

What has changed over the "old" Amarok?
-V6 Engine: 163hp-204hp & 224hp and up to 550nm on the 224hp
-Bigger wheels, now 20inch
-17inch brakes at the front & 16inch at the back => No drum brakes (only top model)
-Higher towing capabilities => Now 3.5tonnes (was 3.0T)
-Euro 6 which will only emit 199grams of Co2 for the top spec V6 and should get around 37mpg (let's hope they aren't lying)

for some reason they've made the amorok engine slightly less powerful as the top model touareg has 195kw and 580nm, i really wanted one when i bought my 550 but only the manual was available then, at least the navara is on GIO Platinum insurance so should the worsed happen they can't replace like for like what i have got now so i'll have the veedub thanks! the new mercedes truck at this moment in time is rumoured to be getting s-class limo motor with 190kw and 620nm

They don't have a low range tho. Only four Hi from what I have read.

i have been in an amarok and i can 100% assure you they have exactly the same setup as the navara. no central diff, 4hi and 4lo without front hubs (locked all time) and can be used only on loose surface.

The review I read in motor mag and Mr 4x4 said that the 2017 has no low range. God if it does but only stating what I had read. It also stated it may only be on the auto?

No low range in auto that is, A normal 6 speed box with 2 lower gears for offroad. Still not the low that we expect but good enough to get you out of most situations.
The 6 speed manual does have a transfer case with low range and a solid flywheel (not dual mass), how good it is, I'm unsure.
