Mitch, I concur with the other guys. I recently purchased a Jayco Outback Camper and bought the Tekonsha Prodigy 3 off Ebay for about $155. Bought it from autoelecau, very fast and reliable delivery and I've been nothing but happy with the unit. Saved over $200 retail as well. Cheers

Have you looked into taking it up through where the antenna sits in the middle of roof? Alternatively, I'd run it up the back of the cab like Josh recommended. Good luck

Gents I've got exactly the same issue with my D40. Snorkel was fitted from new by Nissan, I tested it a few weeks later to realise that it isn't sealed at all. I spoke to local Nissan dealer and they advised that it isn't designed to raise the fording depth of the vehicle, just get cleaner air...

Don't worry I had the Super Cheap add in my mind the whole time :) I made sure to remove everything in the glove box and all nooks and crannies in the dash.

I think the Pathfinder may have had a switch in there, something to do with the accelerator pedal (I think). I've seen heaps of people put all sorts of switches in there and like KraftyPg said, these can be picked up from Jaycar or even fleabay. I've got my dual batt over ride button in mine...

The air box should pull up over the bottom bolt rubber. The bolts are similar to those on the engine plastic shroud, you just pull them over the rubber to remove them. Hope this helps.

D40 Snorkel I made the mistake of going genuine (Airtec style), never again though. As someone mentioned, Nissan don't seal them and there isn't enough sikaflex around to seal an oval hose to a round one. I'm looking at removing it and installing a Safari snorkel as they guarantee it is sealed.

I had exactly the same issue with mine - and replaced/removed at the 10000k svc, D40KC, have you had yours fixed again? The rattle in mine now only comes on every now and then after using the aircon and never when the Nissan Mechanic is with me.
