If your having fuel pressure problems the rail sensor would probebly be the problem.

Iv just replaced my EGR and removed the Blanking and adjusted my turbo to come on a bit quicker. And most all soot has disappeared. Putting a new set of heat plugs in should fix any other soot and cod start. Glow plugs are most forgotten items on these Engines.

I would do the Scv and rail pressure sensor togeather as a pair. Is easy DIY jobs , then do a fuel pump reset. See how ya go, suggest you do new fuel filter and a drop of fuel doctor. I would put some straght in the filter as you go..

Just a tip. If your discs are good, try to get the same pads as they will fit the samewear pattern on the disc, others may be wider causing all sorts of problems.

Take your time, put new head bolts with it, mark the injectors so you put them back in the same pots.try keep all the nuts bolts in marked bags they're is a lot of them, clean the manifolds inside and out.depends on your attitude and experiance take a week with the engine in. Getting it right.

Agree Bill. We all know the difference in the new Premium Diesel and the cheaper Diesel is Additives,, one of those additives is probebly fuel cleaners, hence the price, so use of cheaper fuels is possibly the causes of a lot of problem Navaras on this site. Just saying.
