Thanks Old Tony. I have a larger amperage charger but after a trickle charger such as the CTEK .08 just to maintain the batteries when the car is idle for a period of time.
I've got this problem as well for the last 18 months or so. The battery light stays on and disappears when I rev it to around 1500rpm. The strange thing with my car is that it happens 95% of the time when I park at work on a hill. When I park on a level surface it rarely happens.
I couldn't get the alignment correct until I changed the drag link. You may want to check out your drag link, it may be the cause of the problem you described.
I had the car on the hoist and noticed when I rotated the wheel the there is a clicking noise when the hub is in the free position. When I locked the hub the noise disappeared. Any ideas? as I'm going on a long 4wd trip up the High Country in a few days.

Plate installed was the EGR/Inlet manifold. I noticed that the plumbing from the solonoids have not been rearranged. The car is now shuddering on shut down. I assume that the hoses need to be rearranged and this will stop the shuddering? Is that all I need to do?
Mechanic installed an EGR plate. There is still low boost, a maximum of just over 11. He said that he checked all the hoses and they were fine.
He is sure that the high pitched noise is the turbo and the low boost is caused by the turbo backplate becomming loose and damaging the compressor wheel.
New to this forum and have the following problems on my Navara. Its a 2004 zd30 with 165K.
After a routine service at my local mechanic who only changed the oil, filter and fuel filter the following occurred about 100 kms later.
A high frequency noise which I initially thought was a police or...
