egt guage d22

hello i have purchased a pyro guage for my d22, has any one fitted one to the standard system is there a threaded hole there or does one have to be drilled any help thanks

you will need to drill and tap a fitting.

what motor do you have?

couple of ways of doing it

tap the exhaust manifold.
tap the cat converter/dump pipe
replace cat converter with new dump pipe that had EGT fitting welded to it.
fit EGT probe in EGR port on exhaust manifold (a lot easier if EGR tube is removed permanently)

EGT guage display fitment

Looking at fiting an EGT guage and would like to mount it in the dash using that othervise useless pocket under the left air vent. (See pic)
Has anybody else done this? If so I would like to know what type of display you managed to fit there.
I checked out the ThermoGuard unit and it is rather bulky and will not fir there.

im not sure about fitting and egt guage in but im on the look out for a turbo timer that is small enough to fit in there. i plan to cut the back out then make a bracket for it to sit in with a front capping plate to make it look nice and tidy.. well thats the plan anyways
