D22 engine failure

Hi everyone - just joined the forum, prompted by a desire to find out if my 54 registered D22 is a candidate for a catastrophic engine failure. It's done 32k but I'm told the failure can occur anytime and is caused by the wrong big end shells being fitted at manufacture - is this true. Terry

sounds like your in the UK with a YD25 powered D22.
