D21 rear diff locker.

Hey everyone...

quick question to see if anyone knows what diff locker to recommend for a 1986 d21 2.4L petrol king cab?? I cant afford a new 4x4 right now but i love going away so i thought a diff locker and winch may be able to get me most places .

Don't know about rear lockers but I'm going to be putting in a
front one from 4wd systems.
From what I've read the majority of owners love em
and make a huge difference.

Personally I think a front locker would be of greater benefit
especially paired with the factory rear LSD.
Cheaper too.

Ok great.. ill have a look. So you will put a front diff locker in your rear navara diff. Is that right? Because my d21 is only rear wheel drive..

No Sorry mate didn't realise yours was 2wd.
You'll need to find one specific to the rear.
Also depends on which diff you have there's a couple of different
ones I think.
I'd expect it to be a struggle to find a rear locker for it.
I'm sure there's a few more experienced members on here that
could help out better than I and be able to point you in the right
dirrection.

Should be a C200 rear diff.

Check the spline count, you might be lucky enough that the D22 lockers fit.

If you handy with a spanner, take out your old diff pumpkin and re-shim the factory lsd
you can over shim it so its more like a locker.
looking skyline or silvia r200 shims on yourtube, its a near identical diff to the c200 - just a different housing.
if you have the larger h233b style - you can do the same, just lookup the patrol how-tos

The Z32 300ZX Twin turbo ran the R230 rear diff. Same as the GQ/GU front diffs centre.

GTR's ran the same diff too.
