Sounds to me like one of the vanes inside the air ducts has stopped working. If it's still covered by warranty, take it back. If not, and you're confident enough to try, invest in some silicone lube (made by the same company as WD40) and start taking the ductwork apart looking for a vane that's sticking/stuck. That might not resolve the problem - the vanes are operated by motors, I believe, and one might have failed.
