I had similar problem with my 2010 Navara. Tried to do it myself easy enough to fit but had all sorts of problems. Took it to my local garage they basically said most of the non genuine parts out there don't work. One genuine part and fitted. £260 later all sorted.

All sorted now turns out it was steering angle sensor, cut a long story short I replaced the steering ring last week, turns out although it sorted out my airbag light and cruise control. the aftermarket ring (ebay) I installed wasn't compatible with the navara even though I used the original...

Thanks, will find out tomorrow, its going in the garage. Gave the wheels a wobble the other day tiny bit if play so could well be bearings.

Hi All Have a horrible grinding noise sounds like it's comming from drivers side front somewhere. Only happens when turning and braking at the same time, traction control light flickering on and of as well. Any pointers I'd be greatfull. Many thanks Mike
