the washer is only needed because the hilux front shock is slightly narrower in the eye at the bottom .If you put a washer to take up the gap it prevents bending of the lower shock mount. i hope this makes sense.

sorry for late reply no im no longer running the prg uca's they arnt somthing i feel would serv me well. im fully engineered with the sway bar but i disconnect or remove it most of the time it makes a big difference.

I have driven without the front diff in many times not a prob , at first I was concerned about the front wheels falling off but I looked in the Wreakers and the 2wd models had the same front bearing assy.

If you can just unbolt the actuator from the transfer case and turn the shaft with pliers. It sounds hard but it only takes 5 min.
