    My son knows how to 4 wheel drive correctly. I have driven and owned 4x4's since the mid 80's. There wasn't an issue until he did the front diff, I am not sure if they are related

    He actually broke the input shaft into the transfer case, snapped it in 2 just after the front uni. After whacking a 2nd hand diff in it, we discovered this in the transfer case, is it an issue?

    I forgot it has IFS, he has pulled the prop shaft out, turned the hubs out and has driven it to Woods Point. Thanks everyone for your help, he is going to drive it home tomorrow and repair it here

    he has buggered his front diff, that much I do know, he has got it out of the bush to Woods Point and wants to drive it to Shepparton but he is not sure if the front wheel bearings will be lubricated enough for the trip home, are they splashed lubed from the front diff oil or are they stand...

    Front diff is the issue, not the rear diff, his words were "front input shaft"

    He reckons front input shaft, not tailshaft, he can still drive it as a 2 wheel drive, but he wants to drive from Woods Point to Shepparton

    Sorry for this as the firs post, but my son is stuck in the bush and has done an input shaft on his 2006 D22, he wants to know if he can drive it home with the tailshaft out and hubs turned out, will the wheel bearing be OK Thanks in advance
