I've recently taken on a 2011 D22 with the YD25 engine. Last Tuesday, my other one got washed away in the Brisbane flooding so I got another to replace it. My old one had electric windows and electric locking. This one is manual everything! Which is which and what other differences will I find?

I've just picked up a 2011 D22 with the YD25 engine. At some stage someone has installed a HKS Type 1 Turbo Timer. In less than 24 hours and half a dozen trips, this thing has given me a royal case of the irits!!! So, how do I get rid of the rotten thing?

Hardest part of the mod was trying to clear the engine bay of the oily black residue! Half a litre of TruckWash, brush and Karcher, just about sorted!

So, I've got a piece of "Corten" plate (stuff they make shipping containers out of) that's free, do you reckon that would do the job?

Thanks Old.Tony, I'm sure I can find an old piece of plate somewhere. Would the plates supplied through mobs like Chipit and the likes be up to the task and heat ranges that you mentioned?

Can the blanking plate be mounted on the exhaust inlet side of the EGR Cooling tube? Mine is venting oily exhaust smoke under the bonnet again and I was thinking that a plate might fix this.
