Transfer case interchangeability

The transfer case in my old QD32 D22 has about had it, QD cases seem to be very thin on the ground but there's heaps of ZD/YD cases about.
Question, are these later TX10s interchangeable with the older 1st gen D22 TX10, or should I be looking for one from a D21, R50 or something like that?

the book says they are the same unit, the basic specs are the same but it does mention some parts have changed. hopefully thats just some minor internal parts.
those qd32 drivelines where overbuilt so its not surprising they used the same drivetrain in the later more powerful models. tho the later ones diffs went down in size, which shows just how oversized they where.
