has anyone removed the center console .

hey guys im thinking getting rid of the center console between the seats but the hand brake will be a problem .. i wanted to put the waeco cooler in .

can it be done has anyone els done something similar?

Cab chassis D22s (most of which are 4x2) have an umbrella handbrake, if you replace your centre handbrake with an umbrella handbrake (visit a wreckers) you could fit the cooler in easily.

Its easy to pull it out, I would say you will need to pull it out and modify it and replace the hand brake surround otherwise it would look a bit dodgy.

As Dion said you can move the hand brake from the centre to the dash from a 4x2 d22 nav.
