Not sure quite what you mean by overflow. The system had an expansion tank to allow the movement of coolant when it gets hot and expands. Are you sure that this is not part of the normal displacement of hot water within the pressurised system.

It's common with all vehicles manufacturers. Protects them from being sued when you get done for speeding and you defence is the manufacturers speedo was inaccurate.

I think you will find this is a deliberate design feature across most manufacturers. It is better for you speedo to show you going faster than you are so that manafufacturers don't get blamed for drivers speeding. Now that I have larger KS2s on mine the speed is spot on. Other vehicles I drive...
